Mounted head of a beautiful Parthenaise Cow (Penelope). The head has been mounted with great attention to detail and has a friendly look.
Origin:
The Parthenaise is one of the most important French cattle breeds. It is named after the town of Parthenay in the department of Deux-Sèvres, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of western France.
It used to be a triple breed. It was bred for milk, meat and draft, but is now primarily bred for beef.
Description:
The animal is characterized by a light brown - wheat-like hair color with black highlights. Around the eyes and nose there are gray rings.
The average shoulder height is 1.35 to 1.40 meters with a weight of 750 kg.
Because of their muscularity, Parthenaise cattle have little fat and a fine skeleton.
