Reproduction of a cherub's head, undoubtedly carved by the artist Bernini. It can likely be found in the St Peter's Basilica in Rome, the Mecca of Baroque period art.

These angel heads with their unique recognizeable style were carved on the ceilings of churches and thus destined to be seen from far below. Their proportions and expressions were calculated taking this perspective into account.
